AUTISM STORY TIME

Sponsored by the Gloucester County Library System

First Saturday of the Month, 11:00 AM

Ages 10 and under can attend with caregiver to enjoy
stories, crafts, rhythmic instruments, and sensory

SELF-DIRECTED SURVEY PREPARATION WORKSHOP

The Family Support Center of New Jersey invites you to participate in this workshop (most appropriate for families who have young adults (18 years of age or older) who are eligible for DDD services.  Presenters include representatives from New Jersey Developmental Disabilities Planning Institute & Advocate for Alternatives.  This is an opportunity to learn how the Developmental Disabilities Resource Tool (DRRT) is used to help identify and determine an individual's level of needs.

The New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities

has formed a Yahoo discussion forum to allow DDD families

to share their experiences with getting family support services.

COSAC Short-Term Emergency Care (STEC)

Do you need to attend a funeral without your child with autism?

Do you need to go to the hospital to visit a loved one?

Has your work schedule changed suddenly?

For families with children who have autism or a related disability, COSAC's Short-Term Emergency Care (STEC) can help you in times of need.  By contacting a respite worker from an outside agency to care for your child with autism at home, COSAC's STEC can offer you the time you need to attend to unexpected situations.  Please keep in mind that this service offers temporary assistance only, and should be used as a last resort.  This is a free service to parents.
