Students' Tree Attracts Spectators at Longwood Gardens

Longwood Gardens Presentation

The 3rd-grade students in Mrs. Moran's Art classes have worked hard over the past month to create beautifully unique ornaments for a tree at Longwood Gardens. Now the students' tree is on display during "A Longwood Christmas"  festival, and spectators from all over the world get to see their creativity come alive. Mrs. Moran, our Art Teacher at Harrison Township School has been organizing the tree display for 3 years now and we are so proud to have her and the students represent our school.

Mrs. Moran says, "Having the students create the ornaments for a tree at Longwood Gardens is not only an honor but, it is an opportunity for our students to shine. Over 300,000 visitors from all over the world are expected to visit Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA and it is very exciting that our 3rd-grade tree will be one of 13 trees that they see in the Children's Christmas Tree Display! I am so proud of our students and their willingness to collaborate on this special project. Our display this year is unique and colorful with over 100 ornaments, five- 4 ft sections of garland and an amazing tree topper we can't wait for you to see!"

If you're looking to plan a holiday outing this season, our tree will be on display at Longwood Gardens until January 2nd.
