Mrs. Hipple's Retirement

On December 23rd, it was bittersweet for many of us, but most of all Mrs. Hipple in 2nd grade.  Mrs. Hipple was a wonderful 2nd grade teacher, and after 31 years at Harrison Elementary (35 years total) she made the decision to retire.  She was known for reading many books to her students throughout the year, which have left lasting impressions on them.  The poems she assigned every night to kids sparked student’s interests in writing and reading at a young age.  With this school year being so different, the normal retirement party could not happen.  Instead, she was met in her hallway for a “clap out” and some cowbell ringing, as well as two of her brave students making an overhead announcement.  Mrs. Hipple is an inspiration to all of us for her years of service teaching children and will be sorely missed.  Congratulations on her retirement and we wish her many years of happiness!!
