November 23, 2020
Monday, November 23rd
We will be conducting our monthly security drill. With guidance from the NJDOE Office of Emergency School Preparedness and Emergency Planning, a notification drill is recommended.
For your information, a test of the district’s notification system, School Messenger, will help identify the true capability of our schools to effectively communicate emergency messaging to external stakeholders. This identification includes the following:
Ability to reach parent/guardian members of the school community to be assessed
Ability to message other stakeholders of the school community to be assessed
Verification of phone numbers, email addresses, etc. can be completed
The parent/guardian community, teachers, staff, administrators, etc. will receive a phone call notification on Monday, November 23rd, at approximately 6:00 PM. Families are encouraged in advance to make sure that their voicemail boxes are not “Full” as this has an impact on their notifications.
An email will be sent shortly following the phone call to provide families and staff a second opportunity to receive the test notification. ‘Spam’ and ‘Junk’ folders should also be checked. We want our families to understand and expect this notification drill.
If you do NOT receive a phone call and/or an email upon the conclusion of the test notifications after 6:00 pm on November 23rd, please call or email your corresponding school.
